I board my horse, Jelly, at a barn that is geared primarily towards trail rides. But, I also love taking lessons and showing.  TLC is the perfect place for me to do both. I trailer Jelly over to TLC fairly often for lessons. There are other lesson barns closer to me but I love the way Terry teaches. He always finds something positive to say, even when I am having a bad riding day. I have ridden with lots of different instructors and Terry is by far the most upbeat. I really like that he doesn't mind if I ask questions or need further clarification.  Everyone at TLC is so nice and welcoming. Jelly gets lots of attention making her feel comfortable and right at home. I never feel like an outsider when I come for lessons or shows. At the shows, everyone really encourages everyone else and it feels like a real team. I am excited for the fall show season to continue with my lessons and showing with TLC.

I first met Terry just after I purchased Harley.  He was not safe to ride so I had planned on him being a pet.  Under Terry's instruction Harley started to love being ridden and felt safe enough to jump again.  He has sucessfully competed over 3"3" in the hunter and equitation ring as well as teach beginners how to ride.  Harley is now very trusting, honest and eager to take care of his riders.

I have boarded with TLC since they opened.  Harley was once injured and Terry trailered him to New Bolton with me.  I wasn't left alone to find a shipper and deal with making medical decisions under such stress.  I know Harley is always well taken care of.

I love taking lessons which are geared towards my personal riding goals.  TLC is also flexible when my work hours get in the way.                              ~Karen,

We "met" TLC this summer for camp and fell in love.  My 10 year-old daughter has gone to riding camp at other stables and enjoyed it, but it always felt like she was just learning to sit on a well trained horse.  From day one at TLC, she was really being taught to ride, with a foundation in important fundamentals. 

The horses are delightful, owners wonderful and the barns always feel clean, neat and organized.  She will continue in private lessons this fall. As a parent my only challenge has been getting her out of there when it is time to go home!  Thanks TLC!
