5/18: TLC welcomes Salty (Too Salty To Me) to our boarding family filling our last availble stall. We are accepting boarders for our waiting list.
TLC had the honor of hosting a photo shoot for several of the Women's National Volleyball League. They were all great people to get to know. The horses were perfectly behaved and very patient with the girls, camera men and activity. The photos will be used in their modeling portfoilos and ads. We'll have to watch for pictures of Spence, Duncan, Justin and Mat with the girls in their very tiny bikini's!
5/8: Welcome Lucky to our boarding program. Duncan instantly became Lucky's friend and he is settleing in nicely.
5/6: TLC welcome's Karen & Dustin to our lesson program. We also wish Baxter the best of luck & nothing but happiness in his new home. We now have 1 stall open for full care board.
The students & boarders have been busy clearing new trails. So far we are much more excited than the horses but they are all getting used to them (LOL).
Thought for the day: Have patience in your riding and watchfulness on the ground. Listen to your horse. Always look at yourself first when he isn't getting it right. As yourself what you are doing wrong before you punish him for not understanding. Is your horse telling you he hurts, he doesn't understand or that he's just not ready? It's seldom the horse's fault.

So far this winter we've had some great riding time and fun horsemanship lessons. Most of the Level I riders have completed the study guide and are preparing for the written test. The students have also learned the signs of a horse being sick and how to take vitals. It's been determined The Wilf has the strongest gut sounds and Justin has the loudest heart beat. They have also learned how to pull manes and trim up a horse. I'm sure we join all horse lovers in being happy that our day light hours are increasing each day. Spring is just around the corner.
